NYC Teen Author Festival: Where I’m At
The NYC Teen Author Festival is going on all this week—from Monday March 18 to Sunday March 24—featuring dozens of YA authors, including some of the biggest names in the field and, well, me, not one of the biggest names, but a name of respectable length with a good balance of vowels and consonants. The full schedule is available here, and I highly recommend checking it out. In the meantime, here’s a quick look at my appearances on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:
When: Friday March 22, 2–3 pm
Where: The Main Branch of the New York Public Library (the one with the lions) on 42nd Street, Berger Forum, 2nd floor.
What: “He Said, She Said” Panel. The exact details are highly classified, but this is going to be a downright rollicking kickoff to the daylong symposium at the NYPL.
Who: The other authors include (he) Ted Goeglein, Gordon Korman(!), Lucas Klauss, yours truly; (she) Susane Colasanti, E. Lockhart, Carolyn Mackler, Sarah Mlynowski, Leila Sales; and (moderator/force of nature) David Levithan.
When: Saturday March 23, 7–8:30 pm
Where: McNally Jackson bookstore, Prince Street,
What: Mutual Admiration Society reading
Who: Sharon Cameron, A.S. King, yours truly, Diana Peterfreund, Victoria Schwab, Nova Ren Suma, and once again hosted by the inimitable Mr. Levithan.
When: Sunday March 24, 2:30–3:15 pm
Where: Books of Wonder, 18 West 18th Street.
What: The No-Foolin’ Mega-Signing!
Who: There will be something like 50 authors at this daylong event (1–4), and I will be signing in a really remarkable shift of 12 beginning at 2:30.
At all of these events, I will have custom chocolate Necco Wafers for ROTTEN (note: not custom rotten Necco wafers) that say things like “RayzdaWoof” (um, there was a character limit) and “CoolyDrooly,” along with my truly ridiculous giant-Rottweiler-head t-shirt, and, oh yes, shiny new hardcover copies of my brand-new book. It is going to be so very awesome, people. I hope some of you can join me there!
