ROTTEN: release date and cover reveal!

April is the droolest month, people, or it will be when my next young adult novel is released on April 1, 2013. The cover is once again by the inimitable Phil Falco. He is, IMHO, the best in the business, and he really hit it on the nose this time. Check it out. It is so profoundly, pro-houndly amazing:

Drooly, unruly . . . cover-dog!

ROTTEN is about the unlikely friendship between a troubled teen named J.D. and a rescued Rottweiler named Johnny Rotten. It is a (stumpy) tale of redemption, and I am very excited about it. You can expect a Raise the Woof blog tour, contests, maybe t-shirts, about a batrillion tweets, and Dog knows what else between now and April. In the meantime, feel free to leave a comment about the cover, add the book on Goodreads, or peruse this photo of yours truly on Rottweiler Strasse in Frankfurt, Germany, this summer.

It’s a nice street, but the pavement’s a little ruff . . .

Cool cover! So I see a trend here…one word book titles? Is that the Northrop trademark? Cool. Noticed that was one word.

Thanks, Maria! Yes, according to my publisher, one-word titles are “my thing.” (I think it might also be a way to keep my punning under control!)
